Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we handle when you visit byartefact.com, contact byArtefact, or message a practice through our product. We keep this short and honest.
1. Who controls the data

2. What we collect
- Contact you send us. If you email build@byartefact.com or book a call via Cal.com, we receive the details you choose to share (name, email, message, scheduling info).
- Technical logs. Our host (Vercel) and DNS/CDN providers may process standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, referrer, and request path for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
- We do not run a first-party marketing cookie wall on this site for ads profiling. Third-party services you open (for example Cal.com when booking) have their own privacy policies.
- Practice inbox. If you message a practice through our product on Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp, we also receive the ids and message text described under Inbox messages.
3. Inbox messages
When someone messages a practice through this product, we receive the ids Meta attaches to that thread. That can be a Facebook Page-scoped id, an Instagram-scoped id, and/or a WhatsApp wa_id. We also receive the message text.
We use that to reply and to send a booking link. We do not sell it.
Clinical questions go to the practice desk. byArtefact is not the doctor on the thread.
Email build@byartefact.com if you want us to delete inbox data we hold. The same steps are on our User Data Deletion page.

4. Why we use it
- To reply to enquiries and run discovery or project work you request
- To reply on a practice inbox thread and send a booking link
- To operate, secure, and improve the website
- To meet legal or accounting obligations when we have a paid engagement
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with processors who help us run email, hosting, or scheduling (for example Vercel, email providers, Cal.com), only as needed for those services. We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Retention
Enquiry emails and project records are kept as long as needed for the conversation, the engagement, and ordinary business/legal records, then deleted or archived when no longer required. Inbox ids and message text are kept while we need them to run that inbox, then deleted when you ask or when they are no longer required.
7. Your choices
Email us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion where applicable. If you booked via Cal.com, you may also manage that booking through Cal.com’s tools. For inbox data we hold from Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp, email build@byartefact.com or use User Data Deletion.
8. International transfers
Infrastructure providers may process data in multiple regions. We use reputable hosts and only what is needed to operate the site and communicate with you.
9. Children
This site is aimed at business visitors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version with a new effective date.
